Robert began his artist career at the age of eighteen . His first professional outing as a painter landed his first group show, and his first sale. Primarily self taught. Robert’s main focus and discipline has always been realism in oils. After several years of learning different styles finding his own style. Robert tends to work in a series formate: letting the series run its own course before moving on to the next phase of his artistic journey.
Robert’s current series is hyperrealism. Paintings of food. The way breads, cheeses, meats, vegetables, sauces, flow together. The complexity of life in these simple ingredients in a large scale show how basic objects matter. The details matter.
